b. City Facilities <br />The City of Pleasanton agrees to grant to the School District, upon <br />application, the use of any City recreation center which is owned and located <br />within City boundaries which the School District may require in connection <br />with their program, providing such use of the recreation facilities will not <br />interfere with City's use for its recreation programs. In such matters the use <br />of City facilities for City events and programs shall have first priority, and <br />school programs of the School District shall have second priority, and any <br />other groups or agencies shall have third priority. <br />SECTION 3 -A. MAINTENANCE AND CUSTODIAL CARE OF FACILITIES <br />a. District Facilities <br />It is agreed that the District will maintain, improve, repair and provide <br />custodial care for all school buildings, grounds, equipment and apparatus used <br />by the combined recreation service. <br />SECTION 4. EQUIPMENT, APPARATUS, SUPPLIES, AND TRANSPORTATr)N <br />It is agreed that the expendable equipment and supplies necessary for the <br />combined recreation service will be purchased, where needed, by the City. It is <br />further agreed that the City will not purchase expendable equipment and supplies <br />to be used for school programs. The expendable equipment and supplies include <br />balls, bats, nets, paddles, mats, music, drama, art and craft supplies, etc. <br />a. The District will purchase and install on school grounds permanent <br />equipment and apparatus used in connection with the school program. This equip- <br />ment and apparatus will be available for use in the combined recreation service. <br />b. The City will purchase and install on City recreation and park areas <br />all permanent equipment and apparatus necessary for the combined recreation <br />service. <br />c. The District may grant the use of their transportation vehicles for <br />recreation excursions. The Board of Trustees of the District through their <br />administrator will establish a reimbursement rate schedule for the use of these <br />vehicles. It is understood that there may be varying rates of reimbursement <br />depending upon the nature and type of recreation group taking such excursions. <br />SECTION 5. ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCING COMBINED <br />RECREATION SERVICE <br />a. It is further agreed that the City will provide and finance recreation <br />program planning, supervision, staffing, clerical, purchasing, payroll and <br />accounting services for the contemplated recreation service. <br />A statement of the extent of the recreation services contemplated, <br />indicating areas to be used, times of providing service, and numbers of em- <br />ployees, shall be developed by the City, together with a budget of estimated <br />costs. This statement and budget shall be submitted to the District for review <br />and comment each year 15 days prior to the review of this Agreement provided <br />for in Section 8 hereof. <br />3 <br />
