CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 87-458 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPEAL OF LARRY EVANS/THE GAME STATION TO A DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION DENYING THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A GAME ARCADE AT 4301 VALLEY AVENUE (AP-S7-15) WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 9, 1987, the Planning Commission denied the application of Larry Evans/The Game Station for a conditional use permit to operate a game arcade at 4301 Valley Avenue; and WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, Mr. Evans submitted an appeal to the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on October 6, 1987 at which time the applicant and any other member of the public was offered an opportunity to present evidence regarding this appeal; and WHEREAS, after a review of the material presented, the City Council makes the following findings: a. That the proposed location of the conditional use if intensively supervised is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purposes of the district j.n which the site is located. b. That the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity if intensively supervised. c. That the proposed use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of this chapter. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Temporarily approves the appeal of Larry Evans/The Game Station to a decision of the Planning Commission and grants his application for a conditional use permit to operate a game arcade at 4301 Valley Avenue, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the applicant shall provide and maintain lighting in the parking area of the subject property as deemed necessary by the Chief of
