,a <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-108 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE UP-88-18, THE APPLICATION OF <br />UNCLE CREDIT UNION <br />WHEREAS, Uncle Credit Union has applied for a conditional use <br />permit for a credit union branch office located at 1989- <br />E Santa Rita Road; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 12, <br />1988, the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br />A. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />is in accordance with the objectives of the <br />Municipal Code and the purpose of the district in <br />which the site is located. <br />The use is consistent with the objectives of the <br />Commercial zoning district which is to provide <br />opportunities for service establishments which are <br />convenient to the public and can operate in a <br />mutually beneficial relationship with surrounding <br />businesses. The subject use would be situated <br />between the 'Store of Knowledge' and 'Original <br />Sam's' pizza parlor, both of which are compatible <br />uses. <br />B. That the proposed location of the conditional use <br />and the conditions under which it would be operated <br />or maintained will not be detrimental to the public <br />health, safety, or welfare, or be materially <br />injurious to the properties or improvements in the <br />vicinity. <br />Both access and parking are sufficient to <br />accommodate the use. The branch as conditioned <br />would not have nay adverse effects on surrounding <br />businesses. Hours of operation, and office/banking <br />type function of the use would not detract from the <br />operating abilities of the surrounding tenants. <br />
