The branch as conditioned would not have any adverse effects on the surrounding businesses. Hours of operation, and the office/banking function of the use would not detract from the operating abilities of surrounding tenants. Location of a financial institution on one of the free-standing pads within the Oakhill Shopping Center was envisioned within the overall project approval. The site plan has been designed to effectively accommodate such use. c. That the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of the chapter of the applicable Municipal Code. The proposed use will comply with all applicable sections of the Municipal Code. One intention of the code is to provide adequate space to meet the needs of neighborhood commercial development, including off-street parking and to minimize traffic congestion. The Oak Hills shopping center has more than enough parking spaces to meet demands as indicated earlier. The use complies with other sections of the code for bank-type activities are quiet and will not subject surrounding uses to noise, odor, dust, heavy truck traffic and other objectionable influences. WHEREAS, projects of this nature care categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves Case UP-88-51, application of Connolly Development for the Bank of the West for a use permit to operate an approximately 4,000 square foot bank branch office facility to be located at 5452 Sunol Boulevard subject to the following conditions: 1. That the proposed use shall conform substantially to the site plan, elevations, and related materials, Exhibit A (dated October 7, 1988) on file with the Planning Department.
