PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. PC-88-122 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL <br />IMPACT REPORT PREPARED FOR THE DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN <br />PROPOSED FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND FILED UNDER CASE <br />SP-88-1 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to adopt a Specific <br />Plan for Downtown Pleasanton encompassing land use, <br />circulation, parking, and design policies and <br />improvements within a 40 block area bounded by Bernal <br />Avenue, First Street, Stanley Boulevard, Rose Avenue and <br />Pleasanton Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 28, <br />1988, the Planning Commission met and held a public <br />hearing upon the Draft Environmental Impact Report; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has accepted and responded to <br />comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report from <br />public agencies having jurisdiction by law, persons <br />having special expertise with respect to any <br />environmental impact involved, and other persons or <br />organizations having an interest in the proposed <br />Specific Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report has been prepared <br />and contains the Draft Environmental Impact Report, <br />comments and recommendations received on the Draft <br />Environmental Impact Report, and the responses of the <br />City of Pleasanton to significant environmental points <br />raised in the review and consultation process; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton provided proper public notice of <br />of completion of the Final Environmental Impact Report <br />for the proposed Downtown Specific Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton met on <br />November 9, 1988 and held a public hearing upon the <br />Final Environmental Impact Report; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 9, 1988 upon the <br />Environmental Impact Report and upon the completeness <br />and adequacy of the entire Environmental Impact Report <br />in disclosing relevant environmental issues involved in <br />the event the proposed ordinance were to be adopted. <br />
