Recommend adjustment or modification as appropriate. Project 2. Booster pu~p investigation, design and specification. This project would involve the work necessary to make final determination of the new and/or modified individual booster pump installations that will be required for those houses to be shifted from the Foothill Zone to the Lower Zone, and to detail those installations. Specific tasks would be as follows: o Working with city staff, perform additional testing to verify and supplement the work previously done CDM. This would include pressure measurements at all locations recommended for new or modified booster pumps, with the system on the Foothill Zone and with it shifted to Lower Zone pressure. o Review impacts on fire protection for the area. Check existing fire flow capabilities (with the main line connected to the Foothill Zone) and calculate impact based on pressure measurements. o Determine specific modifications and/or new pump requirements. Obtain and review pump curves for existing pumps where available; obtain operating data where curves are not available. Determine which pumps can be modified and which must be replaced. Develop typical installation details and specification. o Work with City staff to establish a schedule for pump mMifications and installations, and final shift to the Lower Zone. This schedule would include scheduling the installation of the check valves from Project 1, above. We propose to contract for this work on lump sum basis, however, we would be willing to accept an hourly rate contract or other form of contract at the City's option.
