He
suggested that since the City Council was already televised weekly and because there had
not been a controversy at the City Council level regarding minutes or contents of
minutes, the Planning Commission meetings be podcast first. He noted that would give
staff an opportunity to work out the bugs at the Planning Commission level first.

Chairperson Fox added that it was difficult to listen to the tapes because they were
recorded at half speed and could not be played on a standard tape recorder. Ms. Decker
added that they must be played on the equipment in chambers. Staff would look into
Commissioner Blank’s idea and respond to the Planning Commission.

Code Enforcement

Commissioner Blank inquired whether a Code Enforcement Officer must visit a site to
observe a violation when a Planning Commissioner has already personally witnessed the
violation, particularly regarding the serving of food during required hours.
