Commissioner Olson noted that he recalls Commissioner Blank specifically mentioning
access via Red Feather Court and indicated that this should be added as it is a key point
as an alternative. He deferred to Commissioner Blank, who confirmed that he did
mention both Red Feather Court and Grey Eagle Court.

Chairperson Fox requested that the second sentence of the third paragraph on page 2 be
modified to read as follows: “They Mr. Bentley expressed concern regarding a safety
issue regarding the EVA through Golden Grey Eagle Court; Mr. Fulton expressed
concern that the packet was so large and would require additional time to read the
material.”

Chairperson Fox noted that with respect to the last paragraph on page 8, Mr. Fulton made
a comment on second units and inquired whether that meant there were going to be
102 units as opposed to the proposed 51 units. She requested that staff review the tape
and include the details in this regard.

Commissioner Narum moved to approve the Minutes of the March 28, 2007
Planning Commission meeting as amended.
Commissioner Blank seconded the motion.

ROLL CALL VOTE:

AYES: Commissioners Blank, Fox, Olson, Narum, and Pearce.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
RECUSED: None.
ABSENT: Commissioner O’Connor.

The motion passed, and the minutes of March 28, 2007 were approved as amended.

3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO
ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS
NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA.

Michael O’Callaghan, 125 West Neal Street, noted that he has been a business person in
Pleasanton for over thirty years and is currently experiencing a high volume of building
and development work. He stated that he has a current proposal for 725 Main Street
involving tearing down the old structure and putting up a new building to enhance the
Downtown. He indicated that the Planning staff had indicated that because the
Commission will be considering several large projects in the next two months, his project
cannot be put on a Commission agenda until possibly June. He expressed concern about
not being able to service his clients in a timely manner and perhaps eventually losing
them. He acknowledged that staff work hard to do their part but was aware that the
Commission can only do so much at each meeting. He inquired if the Commission could
hold one or two extra meetings a month to catch up with projects and shorten the
processing time of his project as well as those others ahead of him.
PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES April 11, 2007 Page 2 of 18
