MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />Other Sneakers <br />Cy Matin, a Pleasanton resident, referenced the informational report on the City's Tennis <br />Services on tonight's agenda and believed there were discrepancies in the staff report and the <br />five-minute time limitation to address Council on this item was not adequate. He also believed <br />the public was not given an opportunity to provide rebuttal comments after Council deliberation. <br />He requested a round table meeting be held to discuss tennis services in the community. <br />Mr. Fialho pointed out that Council would receive an informational report on this item <br />during Public Hearings and Other Matters, item 6d, which would provide Mr. Matin the <br />opportunity to address any of the discrepancies associated with the report. <br />There were no other speakers. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />6a <br />PAP-79. Carl Pretzel and Phillip Savre. Appellants (PCUP-118/PDR-391. St. Clare's <br />Episcopal Church. (SR 05:244) <br />Appeal of the Planning Commission's approval of a design review and conditional use <br />permit for the construction of an approximately 4,970-square-foot sanctuary and <br />multipurpose room extension to an existing church facility (Phase I), which is part of a <br />proposed master expansion plan consisting of an approximately 9,250-square-foot new <br />sanctuary and expansion of the existing parking lot (Phase II), and an approximately <br />5,000-square-foot administrative office expansion (Phase III). The property is located at <br />3350 Hopyard Road and is zoned RM-2,500 (Multiple-Family Residential) District. <br />Jerry Iserson, Director of Planning and Community Development, presented the staff <br />report. He pointed out several errors in the staff report: (1) page four, Three-Phase Expansion <br />Plan table, total square footage for Phase II expansion should be 24,905 and (2) paragraph one, <br />page one of Exhibit B, Draft Conditions of Approval should be 24,905 square feet in building <br />area. <br />In response to an inquiry by Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Iserson said Condition 12 addresses the <br />landscaping on National Park Drive which states that the project developer shall maintain an <br />attractive open, painted metal fence, with integrated landscaping to replace the existing chain <br />Pleasanton City Council 5 09/06/05 <br />Minutes <br />
