II DISSEMINATION OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN <br /> <br />The following actions will be undertaken for the purpose of <br />communicating the contents of the affirmative action plan both <br />within and without the organization. <br /> <br />A. INTERNAL DISSEMINATION <br /> <br /> 1. Include the City's affirmative action policy in the <br /> City's personnel rules, City newsletter and similar <br /> internal publications. <br /> <br /> 2. Review the affirmative action plan with the City's <br /> management staff. <br /> <br /> 3. Explain affirmative action policies to new employees as <br /> part of their orientation process. <br /> <br /> 4. Meet with representatives of employee associations to <br /> explain the affirmative action plan and to seek their <br /> cooperation. <br /> <br /> 5. Post on bulletin boards the affirmative action policy <br /> and related State and Federal equal employment <br /> opportunity regulations. <br /> <br /> 6. Include a nondiscrimination clause in all memorandums of <br /> understanding entered into with the City's employee <br /> groups. <br /> <br /> 7. Inform all employees of the City's affirmative plan and <br /> the policies contained therein. Inform all employees of <br /> their rights under the plan. <br /> <br />B. EXTERNAL DISSEMINATION <br /> <br /> 1. Communicate the City's affirmative action policy to all <br /> recruitment sources. <br /> <br /> 2. Seek the assistance of recruitment sources in the <br /> referral of minorities, females and handicapped of all <br /> ages. <br /> <br /> 3.
