Council recessed for three minutes. <br />Pedram Faed noted that the church has been a great neighbor. He voiced <br />concern with the scale and size of the building. He would like to see a full detailed <br />report and further analysis of the proposed project. <br />Praveen Sharma addressed the City Council in opposition to the project, especially <br />in the location that is proposed currently. He voiced concerns with traffic, noting <br />the traffic issues are already existing. He also voiced concerns with parking on <br />Stoneridge. He preferred the original plan. <br />Ralph Hughes opposed the project, noting he owns a professional building on <br />Stoneridge. He felt the project is too large and voiced concerns with parking and <br />the CEQA exemptions noted in the staff report. He noted his disappointment that <br />there are no photo montages depicting the project. He shared photographs which <br />depicted a large blue heron on the property and voiced concerns regarding how <br />this project will impact wildlife habitat. <br />Todd Collier member of the Pleasanton Village Homeowners Association voiced <br />concerns regarding the proposal to change the location and size of the facility from <br />the previously approved plan. He stated his opposition to the modification to the <br />existing approved plan. He commented in detail on issues with parking and traffic <br />and urged the Council to uphold the appeal. <br />Elizabeth Gard urged the Council to deny the appeal and uphold the decision of <br />the Planning Commission to allow building of the community center. <br />Frank Spindler spoke in support of the proposed project and urged the Council to <br />deny the appeal. <br />Sharrell Michelotti addressed the City Council giving an overall history of the <br />project and strongly urged Council's support for the project and denial of the <br />appeal. <br />Pat Kernan noted that this project has gone through the process and staff has <br />done a great job. He gave an overview of his personal experience with CYO and <br />strongly urged the Council to deny the ap9peal and uphold the project. <br />Pat Belding supported the proposed project and felt traffic and noise concerns <br />have been addressed. <br />Melanie Grello addressed the City Council in opposition to the proposed project <br />stating noise, traffic and circulation concerns. <br />Bob Butler spoke in support of the proposed project noting the benefit to the <br />community. He noted the real issue is the parking issue, which is a separate issue <br />as it has to do with the timing of the services.
