<br />6e. Selection of Vice Mayor and appointment of City Council Members to various boards <br />and commissions (SR 06:275) <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman noted Council member McGovern has agreed to serve as Vice <br />Mayor for the upcoming year. She also thanked Councilmember Sullivan for serving <br />as Vice Mayor over the past year. <br /> <br />The Mayor noted she had requested and received assignment preferences from each <br />member of the City Council for the coming year. After considering individual requests, <br />the Mayor made her selections as shown in the attachment to the staff report. <br /> <br />Councilmember Thorne recommended moving Councilmember Sullivan to the current <br />member position of the Tri-Valley Transportation Council with him serving as the <br />alternate. <br /> <br />With that change the Mayor asked for ratification of her assignments. <br /> <br />Motion: It was m/s by Thorne/Cook-Kallio to adopt Resolution No. 06-076 approving <br />the selection of Councilmember McGovern as Vice Mayor and adopt Resolution No. <br />06-077 approving the appointments of City Council members to various boards and <br />commissions. Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Councilmember McGovern referenced the approval of the Silverstone Condominium Complex in <br />the Vineyard area and confirmed grading is now taking place. <br /> <br />Councilmember Thorne noted he would not be present at the December 19th City Council <br />Meeting due to personal travel plans. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />8a. Brief reports on conferences, seminars, and meetings attended by the Mayor and City <br />Council: There were no reports. <br /> <br />9.
