<br />He commented the residents have been Vf!lry patient and have been trying to work with <br />the owner and with him, as well as the City Council to get this accomplished. He <br />indicated staff would keep at it and hopefully get a new agreement that the residents can <br />support or a revision to the Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Ordinance would be brought <br />back to the Council. <br /> <br />Julie Lewis commented on the upcoming Young Expressions Concert, sponsored by the <br />Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council. She noted they have five outstanding musicians this <br />year and there will be everything from arias to jazz. <br /> <br />Mr. Lewis thanked the Council for the support the community is giving to these young <br />people. These young people are very talented and deserve the proper setting to display <br />their talents. He encouraged everyone to attend the concert. <br /> <br />James Frost addressed the City Council regarding the unresolved encroachment on his <br />property by the Sweeney's. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman asked that an update of the situation be given at the Council's next <br />Closed Session. <br /> <br />Mr. Roush responded that there is a trial date scheduled in early January 2007. If the <br />matter is not otherwise resolved prior to that time, it will go to trial. Part of the relief that <br />will be sought in the case was an order from the court directing that the fence be put in <br />the right location. <br /> <br />Fred Norman addressed the City Council noting his comments from the previous Council <br />Meeting concerning the war in Iraq. He suggested Council consider one minute of <br />silence at the start of every Council Meeting to honor these troops. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />6a. Public Hearing: PAP-99, Dustin Boyce, appellant (PADR-1536, Finlay Boag) <br />appeal of the Zoning Administrator's approval of an administrative design review to <br />construct additions to the existing residence at 4558 Second Street, consisting of: <br />one-story addition totaling approximately 291 sq. ft. on the front, north side, and <br />rear; two-story additions totaling 294 sq ft. on the southern side and reaf; a <br />porte-cochere and second-floor balcony on the southern side; and a covered front <br />porch (SR 06:221) <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson gave an extensive overview of the Appeal concerning 4558 Second <br />Street. He noted at issue is whether one- and two-story additions to the existing <br />dwelling and a house-to-house separation variance should be approved. He <br />noted the appeal was scheduled for the August 9, 2006, Planning Commission <br />hearing, which was cancelled. Therefore, because the item was an appeal <br />subject to time limits, the original decision by the Zoning Administrator was <br />deemed upheld.
