She was concerned that there is a Councilmember who on one hand wants to wrap this up and on the other hand wants to add to the workload. Councilmember Brozosky took exception to the comment that he was adding more work. He felt he was trying to streamline the process. If a model were prepared for something Council could not support, then staff would be asked to prepare another model to eliminate the things that are unacceptable. That is more expense and more time. He said his idea was to try to streamline this. Mayor Hosterman asked for clarification of his choices. Council member Brozosky said either do one model or do three models. Councilmember Thorne agreed in doing three models, but wanted to see Santa Rita/Valley with and without the turn lanes. Council member McGovern said she still did not know exactly what assumptions were being used for land use. If the preferred plan is modeled, is there an opportunity to change assumptions and run another model to see the effects. If so, she preferred to model the preferred plan and look at it before she asked for three models. She believed if one model is done and the assumptions are known, then they can pinpoint the areas that are truly traffic nightmares. There could then be discussion of what assumptions need to be changed. 5. Meeting Open to the Public: None 6.
