<br />Mr. lserson clarified the City's role in enforcing CC&R's. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Laurence Callait, a Pleasanton resident commented on the five- feet versus 8-feet issue <br />and that it would impact a total 7 feet, 8 inches. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Sullivan, seconded by Mr. Thorne to introduce Ordinance <br />1935 and approve Case PUo-n-08-1M, subject to conditions recommended by staff. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky asked for clarification on procedures when an appellant doesn't show up. <br /> <br />Mr. Roush explained the procedure. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan Thorne, and Mayor <br />Hosterman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED: None <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman commented on her recent trip to the U.S. Conference of Mayors. She <br />indicated it was a successful trip and that she will be reporting out to the community on the next <br />televised Mayor's report. <br /> <br />Ms. McGovern asked about the City of Livermore and its photovoltaic projects. <br /> <br />Mr. Fialho noted that the project is moving forward with an agreement with the City of <br />Livermore. <br /> <br />Ms. McGovern stated she would like to see a coordinated effort with the School District <br />and that the item could be brought up at the PUSD Liaison Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Sullivan indicated that there could be updates made. <br /> <br />Mr. Fialho suggested that the Administrative Services Director, Lorie Tinfow, attend the <br />next Liaison meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky talked about Assembly Bill 1234 regarding ethics and the requirement of <br />reports from councilmembers when city funds are spent. He commented on Mr. Miller's <br />comments and the City Councils' operating procedures, which address when votes are to reflect <br />Council direction. He suggested that staff look into the matter and bring it back.
