<br />and investment and expenditures, capital upgrades and other related matters; to seek an <br />extension of the option from the Odd Fellows group; and also to look at options that <br />would enable partnership with various community organizations for maintenance and <br />operations. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne and Mayor <br />Hosterman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED: None <br /> <br />A break was taken at 8:55 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvened at 9:05 p.m. <br /> <br />6c <br />Review of Vinevard Avenue Roadwav ImDrovements between Bernal Avenue and Leona <br />Place (SR 06:132) <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman recused herself from the matter in that she owns property within 500 <br />feet of the project. <br /> <br />Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works, presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky commented that parking is an issue at the mobile home park and <br />questioned if the width of the bike lane was accurate. <br /> <br />Mr. Wilson noted that the bike lane was at standard width. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky requested information on signage for vehicles for sale and if the bridge <br />was confirmed to be included. <br /> <br />Mr. Wilson stated that the issue would be brought back to the Council and that it would <br />be discussed along with the environmental report. He clarified that the project is being modeled <br />as two lanes. The lighting at Montevino has relieved traffic in the area. The project includes <br />landscaping in the area owned by the City. <br /> <br />Ms. McGovern asked if a grant application had been submitted for rubberized asphalt. <br /> <br />Mr. Wilson replied that two applications have been submitted; one for this project and <br />another for asphalt. Staff will know later in the year as to the success of the <br />applications. <br /> <br />Ms. McGovern asked if large mirrors might assist with the traffic and safety issues in the <br /> <br />area. <br /> <br />Mr. Wilson described the landscaping details, which will address the safety issues. <br /> <br />Ms. McGovern asked if staff was recommending to re-open Sauterne Drive as a two-way <br />street if the light is relieving traffic. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council <br />Minutes <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />05/02/06 <br />
