MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Business Anniversary recognition for 20, 25 and 30 years. <br /> Other SDeakers <br /> John Renslow, Callippe Preserve Golf Course General Manager, announced the golf <br />course dedication to be held on Saturday, November 5. He presented to Council an <br />autographed book that he wrote which helps people to enjoy the game of golf. <br /> R. Jo Molz, Blankets for Kids, provided information on Blankets for Kids, a local charity <br />that makes blankets for neglected and abused children. <br /> Kimberly Johnson, a Pleasanton resident, informed Council that approximately 500 cats <br />and kittens have been placed with the County Animal Shelter and within a short period of time <br />euthanized without being evaluated for no apparent reason. She mentioned volunteer <br />organizations are pulling the animals and spending a significant amount of money in medical <br />care for these animals. She believed the City should become involved to ensure that the <br />County is abiding by its Memorandum of Understanding with the City and using its monies <br />appropriately. <br /> Mr. Fialho said the City has a shelter advisory committee that is comprised of the three <br />jurisdictions that fund the shelter: Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton. Staff would contact Ms. <br />Johnson to follow through on the matter. <br /> David Bouchard, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer, recognized <br />and thanked the City and corporate sponsors for support of the Pleasanton Business Expo and <br />staff involved in Leadership Pleasanton. He presented the Chamber Board of Directors' <br />positions on Propositions 74, 75, 76, and 77. <br /> Kevin Close, a Happy Valley resident, provided information to Council regarding the <br />future study roadway daily traffic volumes at General Plan Buildout, as prepared by T JKM and <br />traffic studies in the Happy Valley Annexation Plan. The daily traffic volumes for sub area four of <br />the future study roadway, showed that even with the increase of traffic and the build out of the <br />Golf Course as a development are 50/50. He disagreed with legal counsel's recollection of the <br />reason for directional signage exiting the Golf Course as noted in the October 18 meeting <br />minutes. He indicated that he attended the LAFCO meeting and did not remember any <br />discussion on signage. After reviewing the minutes of the LAFCO meeting, he noted there was <br />no mention of signage.
