<br /> MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> November 1, 2005 <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning claim of Juana Martinez. <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation, RMC Materials v. City of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> Conference with real property negotiator, Nelson Fialho, concerning the items and <br />conditions to acquire a temporary construction easement on property owned by the Sportorno <br />Family Ranch, adjacent to the Callippe Preserve Golf Course and Open Space project. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Vice Mayor Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> Mr. Brozosky reminded the community about the Special State Election to be held on <br />November 8, 2005 and encouraged everyone to read the voter manual and vote. He touched <br />briefly on Proposition 76 and noted that the General Assembly voted to support this proposition <br />at the League of California Cities Annual Conference held in October. He encouraged the <br />community to attend the Callippe Preserve Golf Course and Open Space Trail dedication to be <br />held on Saturday, November 5. He also invited the community to attend the annual Tri-Valley <br />Veteran's Parade to be held on Sunday, November 6, 2005. The parade is scheduled to begin <br />at 1 p.m. on Main Street and celebrates the 60'" anniversary of the ending of World War II <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which was recorded as follows: <br />Council members present were Steve Brozosky, Cindy McGovern, Matt Sullivan, Jerry Thorne, <br />and Mayor Hosterman. Staff members present were: Nelson Fialho, City Manager; Michael <br />Roush, City Attorney; Steve Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Rob Wilson, Director of Public <br />Works; Jerry Iserson, Director of Planning and Community Development; and Tim Neal, Police <br />Chief. <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Brozosky requested agenda item 4b, initiation of annexation/detachment <br />proceedings for Annexation No. 148 (Vineyard Avenue) be continued to November 15, 2005. <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 11/01/05 <br />Minutes <br />
