Mayor Hosterman noted Mr. Kummer made a good point and asked staff to address this matter now or in the future. Mr. Wilson said this issue has not been addressed in the context of the bridge construction and it is something that staff would need to consider as this project develops. Mayor Hosterman wanted Mr. Kummer's comments considered as a part of this project. It was moved by Mr. Sullivan, seconded by Mr. Thorne, to select the historical concrete option as the preferred design for the new second bridge, Option B for the railing for the historic bridge, and direct staff to move forward with final design for the bridge. Mr. Bocian said Pleasanton Weekly has provided staff a specific cosl. Staff would work with the newspaper regarding the process and there may be some additional costs because the Weekly would want the City to purchase a certain size. Ms. McGovern asked if the Pleasanton Weekly was being mailed to all Pleasanton residents? Mr. Bocian said yes. Ms. McGovern asked staff to check into this matter because she was not sure if this was true. Mr. Sullivan wondered why the Tri-Valley Herald was so expensive. Mr. Bocian said the Tri-Valley Herald charges more and it is unusual because there are certain times when one advertisement may cost less or more but overall, the Herald is significantly more expensive. Mr. Sullivan asked if Channel 30 would charge for displaying public notices? Mr. Bocian said Channel 30 does not charge the City.
