<br /> MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> October 4, 2005 <br />6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> Conference with labor negotiator Nelson Fialho, regarding management compensation <br />plan. <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning the claim for reimbursement from the Tri- <br />Valley Conservancy. <br /> Conference (status update) with legal counsel concerning claims of the FERMA <br />Corporation - Callippe Preserve Golf Course. <br /> Conference with real property negotiator, Nelson Fialho, concerning the terms and <br />conditions of a proposed lease with BART to lease BART property in Pleasanton (near the <br />proposed West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station), as currently contemplated in the <br />Memorandum of Understanding between the City and BART. <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning potential litigation against RMC Lonestar and <br />Granite Construction concerning the asphalt plant on RMC property. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:08 p.m. <br />Councilmember Sullivan led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> On behalf of the Council, Mr. Sullivan extended thanks to those individuals who <br />contributed and/or volunteered in making the October 1 Silent Auction and Pasta Feed a <br />success. He recognized and thanked those companies who sponsored the event. The pasta <br />feed and silent action raised over $18,700, which will benefit the victims of Hurricanes Katrina <br />and Rita. In total, the City has raised over $50,000, which will be sent to the American Red <br />Cross Disaster Relief Fund. He recognized six Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department <br />personnel who went to the Gulf Coast and provided disaster recovery services. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which was recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Steve Brozosky, Cindy McGovern, Matt Sullivan, Jerry Thorne, <br />and Mayor Hosterman. Staff members present were: Nelson Fialho, City Manager; Michael <br />Roush, City Attorney; Steve Bocian, Assistant City Manager, Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and <br />Community Services; Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works; Jerry Iserson, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development; Pamela Ott, Economic Development Manager; and Jeff Knowles, <br />Deputy DirectorfTransportation. <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 1 0/04/05 <br />Minutes <br />
