<br /> The motion as made by Mr. Sullivan and seconded by Mr. Thorne was amended to <br />include requiring the Lessee to provide advanced notification to the City if it developed <br />fiscal problems; to authorize the City Manager discretion to use the affordability reserve <br />funded from available surplus cash to repay the HELP loan; and to refer the matter of <br />providin9 additional preference points to Pleasanton residents with longevity to the <br />Housing Commission for consideration after the facility has been in operation for a <br />period of time. <br /> Mr. Sullivan said he was not certain that he agreed with the concept of providing <br />additional preference points to Pleasanton residents with longevity. <br /> Ms. McGovern noted that many people have resided in Pleasanton for a long time and <br />she wanted to ensure that these residents are given additional preference points so that they <br />remain in the community. <br /> Mr. Fialho clarified that the proposed City's preference system is not being modified and <br />that staff's recommendation is that the matter of providing additional preference points to <br />Pleasanton residents with longevity be referred to the Housing Commission for consideration <br />after the facility has been in operation for a period of time. <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Council members - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, and <br /> Mayor Hosterman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: .
