PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MA'II'ERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />Acceptance of public improvements, bicycle moto-cross (BMX) facility, and information <br />to the City Council req_~rdin;I public dedication ceremony on Saturday. June 11. 2005. <br />CIP No. 017036. (SR 05:149) <br /> <br /> There were no public comments. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brozosky, seconded by Ms. McGovern, to accept the <br />improvements for the subject project, to authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of <br />Completion for the subject project, to authorize final payment in the amount of <br />$18,767.68 to Blossom Valley Construction, Inc., and to authorize the City Clerk to <br />release the project retention, 30 days after filing the Notice of Completion. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, and Mayor Hosterman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />6~ <br /> Acceptance of roadway improvements for the reali~lnment of Vineyard Avenue. (SR 05:120) <br /> <br /> Phil Grubstick, Assistant Director Public Works/City Engineer, presented the staff report. <br /> There were no public comments. <br /> <br /> Ms. McGovern thanked Greenbriar Homes, Inc. for completing the roadway <br /> improvements. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. McGovern, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, to accept the <br /> improvements for the subject project, to direct Greenbriar Homes, Inc. to file a Notice of <br /> Completion for the subject project, to authorize final payment to Greenbriar Homes, Inc. <br /> in reimbursement for work completed by the roadway general contractor, DeSilva Gates <br /> Corporation, in the amount of $127,494.77, and to authorize payment in reimbursement to <br /> Greenbriar Homes Inc., in the amount of $338,344.37, thirty days after the filing of the <br /> Notice of Completion. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sullivan concurred with Ms. McGovern's comments. He noted this is an example of <br /> where the City and the School District worked together proactively to do something for the <br /> benefit of the larger community. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky noted that a portion of the roadway is located within 500 feet of his <br /> personal residence.
