Mr. Fialho mentioned that he had contacted Mr, Fay informing him not to spend any time
modeling the Stoneridge Drive Extension and the West Las Positas Interchange. Secondarily,
the Policy Advisory Committee will convene in approximately three weeks and take action to
reverse its direction to the CMA to model those two improvements. The end result is that no
expenditure of funds will be made towards that modeling effort. He suggested that the City of
Pleasanton continue to participate regionally and collaboratively based on the action that staff
anticipates will be taken in three weeks.

Mr. Roush said that because Council took no formal action on this matter, it would
proceed to the next Triangle Study Committee meeting and see what happens. Depending on
the vote, Council may have this matter back on a future agenda.

In response to an inquiry by Mr. Brozosky, Mr. Roush said the City Manager has
discretion in terms of when to authorize the payment of these funds. The City Manager has
indicated that he will not exercise that discretion to pay the bill until the outcome of the next
Committee meeting.

7.
