Mayor Hosterman asked Council for support to agendize this matter for <br /> discussion and consideration at a future meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fialho said this matter could be placed on a future agenda, but pointed out <br /> that it will open a Pandora's box with the other Commissions. He suggested spending <br /> more time, internally, with the Planning Commission to apprise them of future planned <br /> meetings for the remainder of 2005. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sullivan requested support to agendize a presentation by the International <br /> Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) regarding participation in the Cities for <br /> Climate Protection Campaign. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky wanted a chance to review the information. <br /> <br /> Ms. McGovern wanted staff to review this information and provide further <br /> information to Council related to cost, timing and staff resources for implementation and <br /> coordination. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fialho said that staff could agendize this matter and provide answers to <br /> questions related to cost, timing and staff resources for implementation and <br /> coordination. <br /> <br /> At some point soon, Ms. McGovern was hopeful that Council would determine <br /> what its major goals and priorities are for the coming year. She wanted to make sure that <br />~ -- within a one-year period of time she can look at the public and say these are the things <br /> that Council was able to do for the community. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fialho suggested inviting ICLEI to make a brief presentation at a subsequent <br /> meeting under Meeting Open to the Public portion of the agenda. Later on in the <br /> meeting, under Matters Initiated by Council portion of the agenda, Council could then <br /> decide if it collectively wanted to pursue the matter. <br /> <br /> 8. COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br /> Ms. McGovern provided information regarding the content of the agenda for the <br /> Mamh 21 joint City CounciVSchool District meeting. Topics include: adoption of the <br /> City/School District Liaison Committee goals, overview of the City of Pieasanton's Police <br /> Services Youth Programs, the Teen/Community Center project update, Healthy Kids <br /> Survey, the City's General Plan update, Bernal and Busch property updates, and <br /> matters initiated. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky reported that the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority is <br /> working on the "Vision in Process" for public transportation in the Tri-Valley. He reported <br /> that the plan to extend bus services down Parkside Drive has been postponed until the <br /> beginning of the next school year. <br /> <br /> 9. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Council adjourned to a closed session at 10:25 p.m. to continue discussion with <br /> legal counsel concerning claims of the FERMA Corporation - Callippe Preserve Golf <br /> Course. <br /> <br /> Pleasanton City Council 20 02/15/05 <br /> Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
