In response to an inquiry by Mr. Brozosky, Mr. Roush indicated that the City
needed a design to reorient the driving range in order to know how much acreage would
be required, which would then provide costs associated with the land. The wild card
would be what the City would be required to do with the various permitting agencies in
terms of timing and whether additional mitigation would be required.

Mr. Sullivan concurred with Mr. Fialho's recommendation. He was hopeful that
by the end of the six-week period, Council would have a better idea of the construction
costs associated with reorienting the driving range and some type of feedback from both
GE and the permitting agencies.

The motion as moved by Mr. Sullivan, seconded by Mr. Brozosky, was
amended to direct staff to proceed with completing seeding of the golf course
including the driving range, to proceed with the preliminary design plans and
costs associated with reorienting the driving range, to continue discussions with
GE about an easement or fee title on its property, to initiate discussions with the
permitting agencies about the GE property, and to initiate discussions with the
developers of the residential lots near the driving range to contribute towards the
costs associated with reorienting the golf course driving range.

The roll call vote was taken as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, and
Mayor Hosterman
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

There was no action taken on the bypass road in the Happy Valley Specific Plan
as the report was for informational purposes only.

6d
Recommendation reqardin~l City involvement with the Auf Der Maur/Vineyarrl
Avenue Property.
