CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Signature Properties, <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District et al.). <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding arbitration (Signature Properties et al. v. <br />City of Pleasanton et al.). <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation (Chambers v. City of <br />Pleasanton et al.) <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning claim of John Gualandfi <br /> <br /> Conference with labor negotiator, Deborah McKeehan, regarding Management <br />and Confidential Employees Compeasation Plan <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:02 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Hosterman lbd the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She <br />provided an update from Zone 7 Wa~er Agency regarding the odor to the Tri-Valley <br />drinking water. Zone 7 is advising it~ retailers that organic byproducts of natural <br />occurring algae blooms in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta are giving an earthy or <br />musty taste to Tri-Valley drinking water. The increase is temporary due to increased heat <br />and sunlight, and the time of the year. It does not impact safety of the drinking water. <br />She noted that City staff has been in ~ontact with Zone 7, and Zone 7 is doing what it can <br />to reduce those tastes and odor issues. She extended a hearty congratulations to the <br />Under 19 Pleasanton Rage Girls Soccer team who won a National award. She reminded <br />everyone that tomorrow evening is ahother First Wednesday Street party in downtown <br />Pleasanton.
