MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />September 7, 2004 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Signature Properties, <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District et al). <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Ruby Hill <br />Development Joint Venture v. City of Pleasanton). <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation against Granite <br />Construction Company and RMC Pacific Materials concerning the asphalt batch plant <br />near Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Boy Scout Troop 946 conducted the flag ceremony and pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala extended a warm welcome to the Jewish Temple located on Bernal <br />Avenue and Stanley Boulevard, and noted that it is a nice addition to the community. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brezosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer <br />Hosterman, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah McKeehan, <br />City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager; <br />Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Brian Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services; Rob Wilson, <br />Director of Public Works; and Julie Farnsworth, Library Services Director. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan mentioned that item 4g had been removed by staff and continued <br />to November 2, 2004.
