Adopted Resolution 04-023 approving the issuance and sale of bonds by the <br />Pleasanton Joint Powers Financing Authority, approving a Local Obligation <br />Administration Agreement, a continuing Disclosure Agreement, and authorizing <br />official actions. (SR 04:107) <br /> <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Campbell <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman noted that the Arroyo Del Valle trail improvements at Main Street are <br />a partnership between the City of Pleasanton and the Rotary Club of Pleasanton. The <br />Rotary Club will be cleaning the section of the Arroyo Del Valle by the Main Street <br />Bridge and removing exotic weed and plant species, re-vegetating it with attractive native <br />plantings, recreating the pathway, and providing adequate signage. She noted that this <br />would the first step in incorporating the Arroyo Del Valle in the downtown as the <br />Specific Plan had intended. She thanked the Rotary Club of Pleasanton for its <br />partnership. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky presented a commendation to Aliya Deft, seventh-grade student at <br />Harvest Park Elementary School for winning first place in the Contra Costa-Eastern <br />Alameda Regional Spelling Bee. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala presented a proclamation to Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works, in <br />recognition of Public Works Awareness Week, May 16-22, 2004. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman presented a proclamation to Shawna Brown recognizing May 7, <br />2004 as National Provider Appreciation Day in recognition of childcare providers, <br />teachers and educators of young children. <br /> <br /> Pamela Ott recognized 57 Pleasanton businesses for being in operation for 15 <br />years. The following 21 businesses were publicly recognized: Associated Process <br />Controls, Chili's Grill & Bar, Compass Product Design, Gary Patrick Salon, Grape Video <br />Recording, Hands on Chiropractic, Homan Engineering Corporation, Keystone Adult <br />Learning Center, Kier & Wright Civil Engineering, Kleinfelder Incorporated, Physical <br />Therapy Specialists, Pleasanton Driving Range, Pleasanton Flooring & Interiors, Pro <br />Clean Supply, Radio Shack, Sea Breeze Pools, Strizzi's, Sullivan Chiropractic Office, <br />Transbay Fire Protection Inc., Valley Humane Society Inc., and Valley Eyecare Center. <br /> <br /> Brian Blank, Boy Scout Troop 924, presented his Eagle Scout project, which is a <br />Tri-Valley community and education outreach effort to teach the citizens of Pleasanton, <br />Livermore and Dublin more about the American flag and how to care for it.
