By consensus of the entire Council, staff was directed to agendize the matter. As a follow up to discussions related to sports fields in the community, Mr. Brozosky suggested that Council focus on what amenities the City currently has and where it wants to be in the future, as it related to build out. Ms. Hosterman concurred with Mr. Brozosky's suggestion. She reminded Council of the presence of members of Pleasanton Rage who had addressed Council at a prior meeting regarding the turf at Pleasanton Upper Fields. Mr. Brozosky suggested that Council provide direction to the Parks and Recreation Commission to consider the need for additional sports fields. He asked if a Master Plan was being considered to address the need for sports fields in the community?. Mayor Pico pointed out that the City is involved in reviewing its General Plan. He believed that it would be appropriate to direct the Parks and Recreation Commission to consider the need for additional sports fields as part of the General Plan process.
