The following residents addressed Council in favor of the proposal presented by
Mr. Neeley for the City to buy and operate the Pleasanton Memorial Gardens Cemetery:

David Valencia, Jr., 1182 Blanc Court
Don Kallenberg, 2431 Cresfline Road
Marie Valencia, 1182 Blanc Court
Chris Beratlis, 10 Beratlis Court
Jim Wright, 4079 Jensen Stxeet

Bill Hirst, 478 Ewing Drive, concurred with the previous speakers' comments but
was not sure he entirely advocated the City taking over the cemetery at this point. He
noted that it would be worthwhile for staff to look into doing something to upgrade and
maintain the cemetery, and perhaps take it over, either through the City or a cemetery
district.

The following Pleasanton residents, who were also in favor of the proposal
presented by Mr. Neeley, provided written correspondence:

Patficia Lanning
Jean Brown
Bud Engel, 4555 Mohr Avenue

Other Speakers

Vanessa Kawalhau, 871 Sycamore Road, mentioned that the Happy Valley
residents were present at a council meeting nine months ago when the Council passed
Resolution 03-088. This resolution called for a bypass mad study, an interim study of an
alternate mute. To date, she pointed out that no progress has been made and the Bridle
Creek/G-reenbriar residents have stated that they do not want golf course traffic going
through their neighborhood. She asked for the current status of the study. She also
concurred with the previous speakers comments regarding the Pleasanton Memorial
Gardens Cemetery and encouraged people to visit it for its historical value.

Kevin Close, 871 Sycamore Road, concurred with Ms. Kawalhau's comments
regarding the golf course bypass road. He also requested the current status of the study.

Phyllis Ho, 750 Sycamore Creek Way, mentioned that she was a first time
homebuyer and owned a home in the Bridle Creek community. She objected to
Sycamore Creek Road being the Happy Valley bypass mad where all the golf course
traffic is intended to be routed. She also objected to the proposed development of Lund
Ranch II.

Raju Rajagopalan, 916 Sycamore Creek Way Place, concurred with Ms. Ho's
colnments.

Pleasant City Council 5 10/21/03
Minutes
