Kurt Kummer, reaninded everyone of the Council Workshop regarding the Bernal <br />Property to be held on Tuesday, October 28. <br /> <br /> Michael O'Callaghan, 125 W. Neel Street, addressed Council with regard to "Big <br />Box" businesses. He requested consideration be given with regard to free enterprise. He <br />noted that Council approved a contract for the traffic signal at Foothill Road under the <br />Consent Calendar. He would rather see less traffic signals throughout the community but <br />believed some traffic signals are absolutely necessary. He requested Council to take into <br />consideration the amount oflraffic signals located throughout the City of Pleasenton <br />before consenting to install any more. <br /> <br /> Bmco Torquemada, 3072 Albumi Court, thanked Council for holding the joint <br />meeting of the Council and the School Board last week. He addressed Council with <br />regard to the upcoming school board election and his concerns related to the amount of <br />children per classroom. He urged Council to keep thinking of creative ways for the <br />outcome of high schools in the community, as the School District has not kept up with <br />the growth in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />There were no £uther speakers. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Items 6A (1) and (2) <br />Approval of Affordable Housing Credits & lqlnaneing for the Busch Property~ <br />including the Senior Apartment Project: <br />(1) Amended request of Ponderosa Homes to allow the use of Affordable Housing <br />Credits in connection with the 172-unit senior apartment development approved on <br />the Busch property. (SR 03:308) <br /> <br />(2) Approval of City Resolution authorizing the issuance of bonds for Busch Garden <br />Apartments.
