Approved Contract Amendment No. 2 with Camp, Dresser, McKee (CDM) for a
Water Master Plan Update. (SR 03:277)

Mr. Brozosky asked staffto address the timing of the Water Master Plan Update
prior to finishing the update of the General Plan, particularly if there is anything
in the Water Master Plan that could be affected.

Ms. McKeehan noted that these are two different projects and they could be
separated. There will be a long time line to get the Water Master Plan started and
it will not interfere with the changes made to the General Plan.

Mr. Wilson pointed out that items of work discussed in this amendment are not
tied to General Plan matters and deal with additional training for staff on the new
water model. It looks at ways to improve water quality.

Mr. Brozosky asked about Rem 4I?

Mr. Wilson noted there is a difference. There are some connections between the
General Plan and the Wastewater Master Plan in some specific areas. If there are
any major changes to General Plan land use designations, there may be some
impact on the overall study. In terms of timing, it works out fairly well as most of
the study for the Wastewater Master Plan is in receiving information, as it exists
today. The consultants will evaluate the existing system, evaluate existing
modeling and take that information and relate it to future improvements.

Before we get to a point where there would be any impact or potential land use
changes, Ms. McKeehan noted that we could hold offand see what occurs in the
General Plan process.

Accepted the Traffic Committee Minutes for 09/04/03.
No action was required or taken on this item.

Adopted Resolution No. 03-109, appointing members to the 2004 Advisory Board
for the Pleasanton Downtown Association Business Improvement District. (SR
03:270)

Proclaimed October 20-25, 2003 as "World Population Awareness Week" ~n
Pleasanton.

Approved a Consultant Contract with Carollo Engineers to prepare the City's
Wastewater System Master Plan Update. (SR 03:275)

Approved the City's First Annual Residential Electronic Waste ("E-Waste")
Collection Day.
