MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />OCTOBER 7, 2003 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Signature Properties, <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District) <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Campbell led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He <br />mentioned that reciting the pledge of allegiance today has added significance, as today is <br />Election Day. He invited the public to another General Plan update community meeting <br />to be held on Wednesday, October 16 at Mohr Elementary School. He noted that the <br />Museum on Main Street would be featuring the "Phoebe Hearst" exhibit beginning <br />October 25. He encouraged everyone to visit the museum and become familiar with the <br />history of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer <br />Hosterman, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staffmembers present were: Deborah McKeehan, <br />City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; <br />Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager; Brian Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; and Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan pointed out that Item 6A, request of Ponderosa Homes to allow <br />the use of Affordable Housing Credits in connection with the 172-unit senior apartment <br />development approved on the Busch property, was continued to October 21, 2003 at <br />staff's request. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 10/07/03 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
