Mayor Pico felt that was appropriate for the mid-July or first meeting in August,
depending on when the next Policy Group meeting was scheduled.

Ms. Ayala requested an update on the ACE train service.

Ms. Ayala indicated she had received a few phone calls about the mobile home park.

Mr. Roush indicated staff is aware of the problems and he has had conversations with the
park owner about the cathodic protection device. It was his understanding the park owners
would take that cost off the rents. There were also concerns about the sprinkler system and he
has talked to the owners and managers and the system is operational. A valve had to be replaced
in one area. He believed all the issues raised by the residents have been resolved or are in the
process of being resolved.

Mr. Brozosky said he was the only Council representative at the Spirit Run last weekend.
He hoped there would be more next year. He asked if anyone was going to the League of
California Cities rally tomorrow. No one was able to attend.

Ms. Hosterman said she attended the Library Commission meeting last week where the
Commission adopted six resolutions voicing its concerns about the USA Patriot Act. A report
will come to Council on July 15, but she also wanted to request Council for an agenda item to
discuss the entire Patriot Act, not just the library issues.

Mr. Brozosky said Council has reviewed this request quite a few times already and he
believed it was clear where the majority of Council stood.

Ms. Ayala felt the Library Commission report was excellent and did a great job in
addressing the issue.

Mayor Pico indicated there appeared to be no support to review anything but the
recommendations of the Library Commission.

Mr. Campbell indicated he would be absent from the July 15 meeting and would like the
item moved to August 5. There was consensus to do that.

CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR

No action was required or taken.

CLOSED SESSION

The closed session was held earlier in the evening.

Pleasanton City Council 18 06/17/03
Minutes
