MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 6, 2003 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:03 <br />p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Ayala led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She reminded <br />everyone that tomorrow will be the first "First Wednesday" downtown and invited them to <br />attend. She noted the possible candidacy of Mr. Pico for the State Legislature and encouraged <br />him to remember local governments need as much tax funds as possible because they are spent <br />more wisely at the local level. She also cautioned him about unfunded mandates and stable <br />funding for education. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer Hosterman, and Mayor Tom <br />Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah McKeehan, City Manager; Lynn Tracy Nerland, <br />Assistant City Attorney; Robert Wilson, Director of Public Works; Mike Tassano, Assistant <br />Traffic Engineer; and Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan reminded Council that Item 6a, had been continued by staff and that Item <br />6h, Support for Cities for Community Aggregate of Power, had been added by addendum. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico noted that there were speaker cards for Consent Calendar Items 40 and 4w. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brozosky requested Item 6d to be continued and heard at the same time <br />as Item 6a. He requested that Items 40, 4q, 4r and 4v be removed from the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hosterman asked that Item 4n be removed from the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 05/06/03 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
