service at the affordable cost is truly amazing. Over a ten year period, the number of people to <br />be served will be substantial. No one knows what will happen in the future regarding elder care <br />in the community, state or country. The population is aging. In terms of the needs of <br />Pleasanton, this fills a gap. She was excited about the project. She felt it was important that this <br />project interface with other senior developments and felt an advisory conunittee was a good idea. <br />She urged Council to fast track this project and she was confident this is a winning team that will <br />serve the community for many years. <br /> <br /> Carol Galante, Bridge Housing, thanked staff, the Assisted Living Committee, the <br />Housing Commission, and the Planning Commission. People have worked hard to bring this <br />project before Council and have been very thorough. She was anxious to proceed with this <br />project for the City. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brozosky, seconded by Ms. Ayala, to adopt Resolution No. <br />03-042, approving a de minimus negative declaration for the application of Bridge Housing <br />as ~ed under Case PUD-20, to adopt Resolution No. 03-043, approving a Ground Lease, a <br />predevelopment Loan Agreement, the general f'mancing structure including the concept of <br />a permanent loan in the amount of $2,490,000 and the utilization of the Lower Income <br />Housing Fund to pay City development fees and the School Impact Fee on behalf of the <br />developer, and to introduce Ordinance No. 1883, to be read by title only and waiving <br />further reading thereof, approving rezoning and the PUD development plan, as filed under <br />Case PUD-20. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky was excited about this project and felt it would be a great addition to the <br />community. <br /> <br />Ms. Ayala thanked everyone involved in this project. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico also recognized Councilmembers Dennis and Michelotti and former Mayor <br />Tarver for their efforts on this project. He would like the project built as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Resolution of the City of Pieasanton approving the issuance of Revenue Bonds for the <br />Busch Garden Apartments; amending the Affordable Housing Agreement for the Busch <br />Garden Apartments and approving a transfer from the Lower Income Housing Fund to the <br />Capital Improvement Program for a fee reimbursement.
