with City staff; New Cities cancelled the meeting. He said the San Ramon residents
attending the meeting are merely attending to make other City Councils aware of their
situation.

H. Abram Wilson, Mayor of San Ramon, thanked councilmembers for allowing
the residents to address them on this situation. He is confident that New Cities
understands the quality of the homes that is expected in the Tri-Valley Area. He is
confident they will, with everyone's pressure, understand the gravity of this situation. It
is imperative that when there are concems with developers, an official from the city
expresses support for the residents. He did not want history to repeat itself in another
area of the valley and urged anyone to feel free to contact the City of San Ramon with
any questions.

Dave Walden, 5652 Belleza Drive, Chairman of the Board of the Pleasanton
Chamber of Commerce, said the Chamber had recently adopted the concept of a Business
Community Character. The business community has long supported concepts of
integrity, honesty, responsibility, respect, compassion, and self discipline.

Jude Leonard, 3150 Montpelier Court, representing the youth of Pleasanton,
urged Councilmembers to take action on a new teen nightspot. He supported an
organization that would give teens an opportunity to casually and safely express
themselves. Pleasanton is in need of a place where teens can gather. The Veteran's Hall
was previously used as a venue for teenage gatherings and music. Teens in Pleasanton
are now going to other less safe areas to gather.

Councilmember Hosterman asked about the history of theVeteran's Hall as a teen
gathering place.

Ms. McKeehan replied that teen events wereheld at the Veteran's Hall. The
Youth Commission has put together a series of dances at different locations throughout
the City. The Youth Commission will continue to explore holding dances throughout the
school year and in the summertime. Two different efforts are also underway: the Youth
Master Plan implementation committee is looking at the feasibility of a teen club
location; a private proposal is at the very beginning stages looking for a teen club that
would be created in Pleasanton.

Jerry Wagner, 6344 Alisal Street, addressed the recent appearance of a
councilmember on the local television channel who had stated that only 4 or 5 radicals
were protesting the golf course project. He felt the councilmember did not read the
petition signed by 75 Happy Valley residents. He stated that each councilmember should
have a copy of the petition. In the State of the City speech, the newspaper said the
speaker was excited about the opening of the golf course in 2004. He wondered if the
speaker was excited about having all of the traffic plundering Happy Valley residents on
inadequate county roads. Maybe the speaker was excited about contamination of the
Happy Valley well water. Maybe the speaker was excited about running the wells of
Happy Valley dry.
