MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />March 18, 2003 <br /> <br />6:30 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> A closed session was held at 6:30 p.m. to confer with legal counsel regarding pending <br />litigation (City of Pleasanton v. State Regional Water Quality Control Board, et al.) <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He noted the <br />students present who had participated in the Youth in Government Program and explained that <br />they "shadowed" various City officials for a day. Jeremy Poryes, Mr. Brozosky's shadow, <br />announced two forthcoming events: the Don Lewis Concert, and an open house at Hart Middle <br />School where the 1-580 HOV lanes will be discussed. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer Hosterman, and Mayor Tom <br />Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah McKeehan, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br />Attorney; Robert Wilson, Director of Public Works; and Jeff Knowles, Deputy <br />Director/Transportation. <br /> <br /> Britni Johnson, shadow of Ms. McKeehan, introduced the students in the Youth in <br />Government Program: Ryan Hall/Britni Johnson (Deborah McKeehan, City Manager), Bonnie <br />Radford (Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager), Jeannette Cote (Gail Gilpin, Economic <br />Development Manager), Jen Tiefenthaler (Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community <br />Services), Jeremy Poryes (Steve Brozosky, City Councilmember), Lacey Mickleburgh/Barry <br />Ripley (Tim Neal, Chief of Police), Natalie Bricker (Kay Ayala, City Councilmember), Nomlla <br />Sharifi (Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager), Gabriel Ivey (Rob Wilson, Director of Public <br />Works), Kimbefly Lerch (Lisa Hagopian, Parks Superintendent), Jeff Levasseur/Glenalyn <br />Hunt/Chelsea Middlebrook (Stewart Gary, Fire Chief), Kymberlee Ramos (Sue Rosse, Finance <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 03/18/03 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
