Mr. Wolfe said the Commission supported doing that, but in conversations with the neighbors there were concerns about maintenance, since the slats are easily broken. There is more interest in the trees. Mayor Pico referred to the existing good neighbor fence and asked if the facility were lowered, would that lower the fence as well? Mr. Wolfe said the fence around the facility will be at grade level and the same height as the good neighbor fence. Mayor Pico believed the slat fence could address some of the privacy concerns that have been raised. Ms. McKeehan said the issue of the bowl was not privacy, it was proximity. Ms. Ayala said if the facility is not lowered and a cyclone fence is put up with slats, the facility will still be above the seven foot fence. Mr. Campbell asked how many feet from the fence to the tilted bowl and how long is the entire facility? Mr. Wolfe said the bowl is about forty feet from the fence. He did not know the exact length, but it is very large. Mayor Pico referred to the drawing and noted that if the bowl is eliminated it would move the facility an additional fourteen feet from the fence. top.
