It was moved by Ms. Ayaia, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution No. <br />02-115, approving the negative declaration for the project; to adopt Resolution No. 02-116, <br />approving an amendment to the Vineyard Corridor Spec'rfic Plan Boundary, as filed under <br />Case PSP-3; to introduce Ordinance No. 1872, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving the application of Allen Roberts, Robert Grove, and the City of <br />Pleasanton for a PUD rezoning and major modification, as f'ded under Case PUD-82-10- <br />10M; and to adopt Resolution No. 02-117, conditionally declaring a portion of the City's <br />Bonde II water tank property as surplus. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti indicated the lot in question has been a problem from the beginning of the <br />development. She was happy this is finally resolved. <br /> <br />Ms. Dennis believed this solution was a good one for the entire neighborhood. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell appreciated the Groves and Roberts reaching a resolution on this. It is an <br />excellent example of what can be done to work out solutions and he appreciated the professional <br />and civil handling of the matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico also appreciated the willingness to cooperate with the City in terms of the <br />timing of the sale of the property and allowing the City flexibility to find another water tank site <br />for the Vineyard Corridor. <br /> <br />There was a break at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvened at 9:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />PRZ-09 - Proposed Commercial and Civic Green Building Ordinance. (SR 02:250) <br /> <br />Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Wendy Sommer, Alameda County Waste Management Authority, 777 Davis Street #100, <br />San Leandro, thanked the City for taking this leadership role in green building. This ordinance <br />has been presented to the Tri-Valley Council and to the Alameda County Mayors' Conference. <br />The Mayors unanimously approved adoption of a green building ordinance for all the cities in <br />Alameda County. Some may argue that green building is already happen'rog without any <br />regulation and she said the Authority has not seen any evidence of this.
