Mayor Pico expressed special thanks to staff for the hours and hours of work and <br />negotiations to make this dream become a reality. Along with the ownership of the property <br />comes a unique opportunity and responsibility for the City to create the best uses of the land for <br />the future. <br /> <br />Other Speakers <br /> <br /> Vanessa Kawaihau, 871 Sycamore Road, complained about a leak in hose that is partially <br />buried in Lot 106 of the Greenbriar development across the street from 777 Sycamore Road and <br />847 Sycamore Road. She has pointed this out to construction workers and no one has done <br />anything about it. <br /> <br /> Jerry Wagner, 6344 Alisal Street, complained of construction workers parking on a <br />vacant lot near the coruer of Sycamore Road and Sunol Boulevard which creates dust and noise <br />problems as well as problems fi'om speeding. He asked that the workers park on the east side of <br />the lot. He spoke to a foreman and got no satisfaction. He asked Council for help in contacting <br />the person who hired the contractor and his employees. <br /> <br /> Frank Brandes, 6889 Corte Sonada, asked Council to reconsider its recent decision <br />regarding the conditional use permit for The Marque. He believed this was a public safety <br />problem. <br /> <br />After discussion about the process, there was no desire to reconsider the matter. <br /> <br /> Ms. McKeehan indicated staff is planning to present a status report on the Marque in <br />November and could do so sooner if the use continues to be an issue. <br /> <br />6. (IR 02:038) <br /> <br /> Wayne Rasmussen presented a brief overview of the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell inquired if the trails would be open to the conservation areas and connect <br />to the ridgetands? <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen described the route of the trails and indicated it would go into the <br />conservation area and to the top of the hills. The entire trail loop is about a three hour walk and <br />gives a good overall view of the open space. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if the trail would accommodate bicycles. <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen said it would not.
