MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Therese Pimentel, 6006 Audrey Court, indicated she has had to make one to two calls a <br />month complaining about the noise at the Marque Club. She has talked to the Planning <br />Department and Code Enforcement and after a year and a half the matter was placed on the <br />Planning Commission agenda. At that time the Planning Commission suspended the conditional <br />use permit for the Marque. However, it appears they are allowed to continue to operate until the <br />fifteen day appeal period expires. She indicated there is noise, vibrations, and some shot a gun <br />into the air. Her backyard is only 400 feet from the establishment. She heard there would be a <br />big party on July 26 and that is after the owners had said they had stopped their advertising and <br />had fired their promoter. She said there were sixteen Pleasanton police officers on duty that <br />night, when normally there is five to seven on duty. She said the California Highway Patrol and <br />Dublin Police also patrolled Hopyard Avenue. She felt a lot of City resources were being taken <br />up by this bar. On the following weekend, August 3, it was again extremely noisy and she had to <br />call the police. She felt this situation has got to stop. She and her husband are awakened every <br />Sunday morning very early. She was concemed about the safety of the neighborhood. She said <br />she had been followed by people from there in an attempt to keep her from video taping the area. <br />She did not think it should take another eight weeks to stop this. She felt this was a dangerous <br />situation and noted a person who was arrested at the bar had two guns in his car.
