Approved plans and specifications for resurfacing of various City streets, Project No. 015003RF; reviewed bids and awarded construction contract to O'Grady Paving, Inc. for low bid of $651,784; authorized the City Manager to execute the contract for the project; and authorized the Director of Public Works to approve and execute contract change orders for a contingency amount not to exceed $130,357 (20% of construction bid), if necessary, for related subject project work. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC A commendation was presented to Cardinal Jewelers in recognition of being in operation in Pleasanton for 25 years. Ms. Gilpin briefly reviewed the new Website pleasantonjobs.com and thanked the members of the committed that helped design the Website. She introduced Grant Opperman, who showed the pages of the Website and briefly explained the content. Ms. Dennis indicated she had visited the Website and it was very good and easy to use. She felt it was also a good site for students to review to get an idea of job qualifications. It was pointed out that there are also listings for internships.
