Ms. Ayala thanked the Mayor for his leadership in addressing this situation. <br /> <br /> Jennifer Hosterman, 2922 Chardonnay Drive, thanked Council, City staff and Zone 7 for <br />the actions on the arroyo. She was anxious to see what will happen in the future and the options <br />that are available. <br /> <br />Other Speakers <br /> <br /> Kris La May, 7208 Tulipwood Circle, President of the Pleasanton Seahawks, announced <br />that Pleasanton will host the April 2003 Far Western Championships. Swimmers will come from <br />many states, Canada and Mexico. <br /> <br />Presentation by Leadership Pleasanton regarding Tri-Valley Human Services Directory. <br /> <br /> Bob Shapiro, 925 Kottinger Drive, representing the Steering Committee for the Tri- <br />Valley Services Directory and Leadership Pleasanton from the Chamber of Commerce, thanked <br />Council for its support of both programs this year. The Directory is a topical and alphabetical <br />index of services available to the community. He indicated the Directory is available in hard <br />copy and also on the Interact. He hoped to have a Directory card available in Braille and the <br />City of Livermore is working on a Spanish translation of the Directory. He related the private <br />sponsorship, including Fremont Bank, Pleasanton Garbage Service, Pleasanton Rotary, Rose <br />Hotel, Bodylines Day Spa, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, and the Law Offices of Hoge, <br />Fenton, Jones and Appel. They contributed a total of $8,100 for this project. The City of Dublin <br />allocated $5,000. He thanked Council and said there is a wonderful spirit of cooperation in this <br />community. <br /> <br /> Colin Wenstrand, Stoneridge Water Polo, presented his team and thank you letters to <br />Council for the Council's award of the grant to the team. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6g <br />2002-03 Annual Assessments for Landscape District 1984-1 (Ponderosa Homes), and <br />Landscape and Lighting Districts 1993-1 (Windsor), 1993-2 (Bonde Ranch), 1994-1 (Oak <br />Tree Farm) and 1995-1 (Moiler Ranch) (SR 02160) <br /> <br />Philip Grubstick presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> Thom and Anita Sharpies, 4871 Arlene Place, thanked Council for the new maintenance <br />crew for their area and said the crew is doing a wonderful job.
