Michael O'Callaghan, 125 West Neal Street, indicated he had some concerns about this <br />item and would like it removed from the Consent Calendar. He had been having <br />difficulty getting information about the development of the Civic Center. <br /> <br />Ms. McKeehan indicated this issue could not be continued because of timing issues <br />involving moving employees out of leased space into the 157 Main Street building. She <br />asked if she could answer Mr. O'Callaghan's questions as the meeting is going on to see <br />if she could address his concerns. She explained that this item does not deal with the <br />long term plans for the Civic Center site. The Downtown Economic Vitality Committee <br />has the lead role in the process of reviewing site design plans for this site. The City is not <br />moving forward with those plans until staff can meet with that group. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico moved this item to item 6i. <br /> <br />Approved the selection of the Bemal Avenue and Oak Vista location for the construction <br />of the new Fire Station Number Four and approved the proposed Site Plan for the project. <br />(SR 02:147) <br /> <br />Directed staff to proceed with the preparation of a historic resources inventory and <br />various preservation programs; and authorized the City Manager to execute the contract <br />for consultant services with Architectural Resources Group to perform the historic <br />preservation tasks described in the contract scope of work. (IR 02:026) <br /> <br />Approved Consultant Agreement with Dowling Associates to provide on call traffic <br />modeling services for Fiscal Years 2002-03 and 2003-04 for an amount not to exceed <br />$500,000 per the contract fee schedule; and authorize the City Manager to execute the <br />contract.
