He did not support bringing the train downtown, but would support it as far as Junipero. <br />He had concerns about its operation and the comments from the Sunol residents were <br />enlightening. The ballot measure said it would be at no cost to the City, yet the PLA talks about <br />getting funding through grants. He has taken runs on the Corridor and feels it would be a major <br />expense for such a large operation. He felt a major capital outlay would be needed and referred <br />to one part of the Corridor which needs erosion repairs. He firmly supported trails and was <br />uncertain trails could co-exist with the trains. <br /> <br /> Mr. Iserson indicated that if there is an inclinitation to bring the train to Junipero, more <br />study is necessary. It is possible physically to fit a trail and train within the Corridor, but it is a <br />question as to how best to do it to make it a satisfactory experience for hikers, train users and <br />those around it. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell referred to the PDA request for an 18 month study and asked who would <br />pay for it?
