The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Pico
NOES: Councilmember Ayala
ABSENT: Councilmember Campbell
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6f

Am~roval of Final Map~ ImpFoveme~t Plans~ and Related AiFeements for the
Berfaal Property, Tract 7255 (Augustin Knoll) and Tract 7271 (Wshm Hill)

(SR01:ISI)

Wes Jost presented the staff report.

Ms. Dennis asked about the benns and retention ponds. She wanted to know how
big are the b~mis and how much does it cost annually to maintain and what is the
maintenance cost of the retention ponds?

Mr. Jost said the cost had not been addressed. The landscaping will be natural
landscaping and it is the intent that it be maintained for the first three years and then the
irrisation will be turned off. The retention ponds costs have not yet been figured out. It
is intended to be a natural pond that will not require that much maintenance.

Ms. Dennis said that we have to make sure that they function that way which
meatus they are the proper depth.

Mr. Jost said the pond on the central parcel is eight acres and on the western
paroel, approximately three acres; the berms are 16 - 18 feet tall and 2:1 slope on the
freeway side and 3:1 and 4:1 on the other side.

Ms. Michelotti asked if housing on the west side is going to proceed on both the
central parcel and the west side.

Mr. Jost said it is his understanding that the applicant will start to build both
housing products at the same time.

Ms. Michelotti said in looking at the layout of the central parcel and seeing how
the roadways spoke into where the apartment complex is, it seemed to her that in the
original plans there were walkways that came through. The landscaping is still there.

Mr. Jost said there still is the landscaping. The road is a single, one directional
mad so the road width is considerably narrower than most of the other streets. There is
parking on both sides.

Ms. Michelotti asked about looking through the development where there was a
parkway that went through. Is that still there?

Plealmmon City Council 35 07/17/01
Minutes
