REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:00 Brownie Troop #495 led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance Councilmember Campbell complimented Jamba Juice for its community involvement and the use of a community bulletin board in its shop. 2. ROLLCALL City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmambers present were: Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staff members present were Deborah Acosta McKeehan, City Manager; Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager; Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney, Randall Lum, Director of Public Works; Brian Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; .and Eric Carlson, Fire Marshal. 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Item 4e, recommendation to rename the eastern portion of Del Valle Parkway to Nevada Street, was removed from the agenda. Item 6c, PUD-05, Centex Homes, and Item 6d, SP-01/PUD-06, Centex Homes, were continued to the meeting on June 5, 2001. Ms. Dennis indicated she had just received a request from the Alameda County Resource Conservation District to send a letter to the City's Congressional representatives requesting additional funding for staff to look at the agricultural issues currently being considered. A list was set forth in the letter she received. Action needs to be taken before the next Council meeting in order to provide input in the federal budget process. It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution No. 01-044, adding an item to the agenda to discuss whether to send a letter regarding funding for the National Resources Conservation Service and the Alameda County Resource Conservation District.
