Ms. Ayala wanted to make certain that if any portion of the park is removed, that <br />it not be the trees. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico pointed out that this is the concept plan and a final plan will come <br />before Council again. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. <br />01-031, approving the master plan for the Berual neighborhood park, Greenbriar <br />Homes, Berual Investors, LLC., and authorize staff to coordinate with the project's <br />developer to construct a neighborhood park of the highest quality within the <br />allowable construction budget. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers -Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Michelotti <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Mr. Campbell inquired if the City was doing anything to acknowledge Earth Day? <br /> <br /> Mr. Wolfe stated there will be a cleanup of waterways in conjunction with the <br />California Coastal Cleanup Event, but no specific Earth Day celebration. There is <br />involvement from some high school groups and other youth groups in the community. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell wanted to have the arroyo cleanup city-wide, not just near Amador <br />High School. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis suggested promoting carpools at the high schools for Earth Day next <br /> <br />year. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico asked staffto prepare a commendation for former Mayor Ben Tarver <br />for his eight years as Mayor and four years as City Councilmember.
