It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis to adopt Resolution No. 01-014, approving the Mitigated Negative Declaration for this project and adopting the Mitigation and Monitoring Plan for the project. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers- Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Pico NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. 01-015, approving the Purchase and Settlement Agreement for the acquisition of 3421 Vineyard Avenue; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all required documents. Mr. Campbell asked why the City is paying the owner for the property and also paying relocation expense. Mr. Roush explained that state law requires cities to not only compensate the owner the fair market value of property, but also if the owner has a business that has to be relocated, that the owner be compensated for relocation and loss of good will.
